Who I am

Appointed Studio is the trading name of Abby Tamsitt, a sole trader. I’m responsible for any personal information you give me through this website. You can contact me about anything on this page at hello@appointedstudio.com.

What I collect, and why

Enquiries. The enquiry form asks for your name, your business name, your email address and, depending on what you ask for, your Instagram or website (optional) and a message about your business. If you use the feature list, the package and features you picked are added to your message. When you press “Send enquiry”, your own email app opens with the message written out, and nothing is sent until you send that email yourself. The website doesn’t store what you type.

I use your enquiry only to reply to you, ask questions, and prepare a feature list and a quote. My lawful bases are taking steps at your request before we enter into a contract, and my legitimate interest in answering messages about my work.

If you become a client, I keep the information needed to build your app, invoice you and keep tax records.

Technical information. Like most websites, the hosting service keeps short-lived technical logs of visits, such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies

This website doesn’t use cookies or tracking. There’s no analytics or advertising, and the fonts are served from this site, so your browser doesn’t contact Google or other font services.

The live demo

The demo at /demo/penhallow is a working sample app for a made-up business. It’s shared by everyone who tries it, so anything you type there, such as a test booking or message, is stored in the demo and may be seen by other visitors using its dashboard. Please use made-up details. If you’ve entered something real and want it removed, email hello@appointedstudio.com.

The demo sets only essential cookies: one remembers which package you’re viewing, one keeps you signed in if you use its sample customer or dashboard, and one is set only for us, when we unlock the demo’s name and headline for a presentation. They aren’t used for tracking.

Who else handles your information

This website is hosted by Railway, with servers in the EU (the Netherlands). Emails you send me are handled by my email provider. I don’t sell your information or share it with anyone for marketing.

How long I keep it

If an enquiry doesn’t lead to a project, I delete it within 12 months. If you become a client, I keep project and billing records for as long as the law requires for tax purposes, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask me for a copy of the information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how I use it. Email hello@appointedstudio.com and I’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. I’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
